FIRST QUARTER

10:45 -- Mark Simmons 40 pass from Jason Swanson. Facing third down and 10 yards to go, Swanson found Simmons going right to left across the middle of the field. Simmons caught it, broke right and found nobody in his way en route to the end zone. Scott Webb kick. (Kansas 7, Nebraska 0).

7:05 -- Safety, Jason Swanson sacked in end zone. A Nebraska punt was downed at the three-yard line, and after Clark Green ran for a loss of a yard, KU tried a play-action. The heavy Nebraska blitz was all over Swanson, who was sacked in the end zone. (Kansas 7, Nebraska 2).

1:16 -- Darren Rus 20 blocked punt return. KU forced a three-and-out late in the first quarter. Ronnie Amadi slipped through the middle of the line and blocked the kick, which deflected to Amadi's right. Rus caught it in midair and ran in untouched. Webb kick. (Kansas 14, Nebraska 2).

SECOND QUARTER

4:46 -- Scott Webb 21 field goal. The Jayhawks ate six minutes of clock during a 13-play drive, in which they amassed 73 yards passing and running. A 30-yard shovel pass to Clark Green on third down put the Jayhawks in NU territory, and a 17-yard run by Jon Cornish made it goal to go, but KU couldn't score from five yards out. (Kansas 17, Nebraska 2).

1:47 -- Terrence Nunn 30 pass from Zac Taylor. A six-play, 64-yard drive was plagued with coverage breakdowns, leading to a third-down conversion to Grant Mulkey and a 30-yard strike to Nunn, who was wide-open and ran in the left side of the end zone. Jordan Congdon kick. (Kansas 17, Nebraska 9).

THIRD QUARTER

6:19 -- Cory Ross 1 run. A Mark Simmons fumble gave Nebraska the ball inside the red zone, and the Huskers needed four plays to move 16 yards into the end zone. The two-point conversion failed when James McClinton intercepted the pass. (Kansas 17, Nebraska 15).

5:35 -- Jon Cornish 72 run. Cornish ran for eight yards before he took a draw play up the gut on second down from the 28. Cornish ran cleanly through a seam and was touched just once on his way to the end zone. Webb kick. (Kansas 24, Nebraska 15).

FOURTH QUARTER

14:45 -- Safety, Zac Taylor sacked in end zone. Kyle Tucker had a beautiful punt go out of bounds at the five-yard line, and a false-start penalty pinned NU to the two. On the next play, Eric Butler broke through and sacked Taylor for the safety. (Kansas 26, Nebraska 15).

8:33 -- Mark Simmons 12 pass from Jason Swanson. KU marched downfield during a six-minute drive, prolonging the session thanks to a 37-yard completion to Simmons on third down. On third-and-goal, Simmons made a diving catch on a lob pass in the left side of the end zone. Webb kick. (Kansas 33, Nebraska 15).

5:23 -- Kevin Kane 40 interception return. Pass-rusher Brandon Perkins entered and gave Zac Taylor immense pressure from the right side. Taylor threw as he was getting hit right to Kane, who rumbled up the left sideline for the score. Perkins' block of Cory Ross allowed Kane to fly untouched. Webb kick. (Kansas 40, Nebraska 15).
