The non-conference portion of the Jayhawks' season is over, and it ends at 3-1 heading into BIg 12 play thanks to a 13-7 victory over the University of South Florida in Memorial Stadium. Kerry Meier, the redshirt freshman, did not get the start from Mark Mangino's squad. Coach said as early as Thursday that he knew Meier - and his shoulder - would not start against USF.
