¢ Kansas University leads the all-time series against Texas, 12-4. KU has won two of three in the Frank Erwin Center. Texas has won two of the past three meetings.

¢ The Jayhawks won the last meeting, 90-65, last season in Allen Fieldhouse. Daniel Gibson had 19 to lead the Longhorns. Current members of the KU team combined for just 16 of the 90 points.

¢ KU has won 17 of 19 games; Texas has won 15 of 17.

¢ Kansas leads the nation in field-goal-percentage defense at 36.3. KU has held every opponent to under 47 percent shooting this season.

¢ Kansas has shot 50 percent or better in each of its last two games, eight times in Big 12 Conference play and 13 times this season.

¢ Freshmen and sophomores account for 87.3 percent of KU’s points, 84.8 percent rebounds, 78.4 percent assists, 86.4 percent steals and 94.7 percent blocked shots.

¢ Six different Jayhawks (all freshmen and sophomores) have scored 20 or more points in games this season: Sasha Kaun, C.J. Giles, Mario Chalmers, Russell Robinson, Brandon Rush and Julian Wright. Last year, only Wayne Simien and Keith Langford posted 20-point games for KU.

¢ Bill Self is 1-4 against Texas; Rick Barnes is 3-5 against Kansas.

¢ Texas is one win away from tying the school record for most regular-season victories. The 1946-47 team went 24-1 in the regular season and 26-2 overall.

¢ Kansas’ bench is outscoring its opponents’ bench 597 to 404. KU’s bench has outscored its opponents’ bench 18 times this season.

¢ In its 10-game winning streak, KU is winning by an average of 19.4 points, shooting 49.9 percent field goals, 40.4 percent from three-point range and 71.7 percent free throws.

¢ P.J. Tucker became the 27th player in Texas history to top the 1,000-point mark in a recent loss at Oklahoma State. He has 1,015 points in 77 games for a 13.2 ppg average. Brad Buckman became the 26th player to join the club in a victory over Nebraska. He has 1,025 points in 118 games for an 8.7 ppg mark.

¢ Since the 1988-89 season, KU has 16 NCAA Tournament appearances, Texas 15.

¢ The Longhorns were ranked as high as No. 2 in the country for the first five weeks of the season.

¢ Texas has held 14 of its last 17 foes to below 40 percent shooting.

¢ LaMarcus Aldridge has 14 double-doubles this season, tops in the Big 12. School record for double-doubles in a season is 23 by LaSalle Thompson in 1980-81. Tucker has had four double-doubles in his last seven games. He has 10 double-doubles this season.

¢ Daniel Gibson had the best game of his career versus Baylor with 37 points off 13-of-16 shooting. He hit nine of 12 threes.

¢ In UT’s last 17 games, A.J. Abrams has 53 assists to 20 turnovers.
