What should I know before I sign up?

1. Make sure your cell phone provider offers text messaging (AKA "SMS") and that this service is enabled for your account/phone. Most cell phones these days come with it.
2. We offer this as a free service, but be aware that some cell phone providers charge for incoming messages. Then again, others don't. So if you're not sure, contact your provider. (If they do charge, it's likely inexpensive -- like, 2 cents per message.)
3. Be aware that the reliability and timeliness of these messages depends on your phone company. We'll hold up our end of the deal and send out the reminders on time -- but your phone service provider, which passes the message from us to you, might introduce a delay. This totally depends on your service provider.

What exactly will you be sending me?

We'll send you as much information about the game as we can fit into the tiny cell-phone message limit. You'll definitely get the game's score, and we'll throw in some key stats.

Why would I need this if I'm already going to the game anyway?

We'll give you info that you won't necessarily get when you're sitting in the stands -- like player stats, team stats and other interesting developments. Plus, you'll be the envy of all the fans sitting around you.

Why would I need this if I'm already planning to watch/listen to the game on TV/radio/Web?

You probably don't. But a feature like this is handy if you won't happen to be around the TV/radio/Web during the game. Plus, it's just kind of cool.

These are perfect if your significant other is hauling you off to the mall for the day.
