Kansas' Ochai Agbaji participates in the NBA Draft Combine at the Wintrust Arena Thursday, June 24, 2021, in Chicago.

University of Kansas senior-to-be Ochai Agbaji delivered a slightly better showing in his second scrimmage at the NBA combine on Friday but still came out on the losing side of things.

[One day after falling by 40 points in the first scrimmage he played in,][1] Agbaji and Team 3 fell to Team 1, 86-76, in a game that again showed Team 3’s inability to find easy offense.

Agbaji’s numbers were better on Day 2 of the scrimmages and he looked more aggressive. He scored 7 points on 3-of-6 shooting and also grabbed six rebounds.

Agbaji knocked in one of the two 3-point shots he attempted in the scrimmage and also added one assist, one steal and avoided turning the ball over.

As the lone Jayhawk invited to this year’s combine in Chicago, Agbaji arrived with hopes of showcasing himself as a sure-fire draft pick. [His physical measurements and numbers in on-court drills earlier in the week][2] seemed to put him in that category. But it remains to be seen what kind of impact his lack of production and inability to stand out among other draft hopefuls in the scrimmages will have on his draft stock.

Agbaji has until July 7 to decide whether to leave his name in the draft pool or return to Kansas for his senior season. This year’s NBA draft is slated for July 29.
