KU golfer Hanna opens at Amateur Public Links Championship

? Kansas University men’s golfer Chase Hanna shot a 7-over 78 on the first day of the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, Monday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.

Hanna, who will be a KU sophomore in the fall, sits tied for 118th place out of 156 golfers. Only the top 64 after today’s second round advance to match play.

Hanna qualified for the championship as a first alternate in a 25-golfer field on June 17 at Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri.
