Kansas University swimmer Yulduz Kuhckarova just missed the Robinson Natatorium 100-yard backstroke record, then bagged the venue’s 200 back record during the Jayhawk Open on Saturday.
Kuchkarova, a sophomore from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, finished the 200 in 1:57.83, beating Iuliia Kuzhill’s 2010 record of 1:58.44.
She won the 100 in 54.24.
