Conley paces Kansas track

Junior Sydney Conley won two of Kansas University’s 17 event titles at the Bob Timmons Track and Field Challenge on Saturday at Anschutz Pavilion.

Conley won the 60-meter dash in 7.54 seconds and the long jump in 5.84 meters (19 feet, 2 inches).

Kansas’ other event winners: Adrianna Newell, women’s 600, 1:25.27; Sarah Kelly, mile, 5:05.85; Lindsay Vollmer, 60 hurdles, 8.43; Grace Pickell, high jump, 1.75 meters (5-8 3/4); Alexis Romero, pole vault, 3.80 meters (12-5 1/2); Anastasiya Muchkayev, shot put, 15.79 meters (51-9 3/4); Daina Levy, weight throw, 18.89 meters, 61-11 3/4); Teddy Oteba, men’s 600, 1:13.78; Michael Stigler, 800, 1:58.90; Anthonio Humphrey, 1,000, 2:35.31; Adel Yoonis, 3,000, 8:56.36; Austin Hoag, high jump, 2.06 meters (6-9); Casey Bowen, pole vault, 5.31 meters (17-5); Mitch Cooper, weight throw, 16.04 meters (52-7 1/2); and the 4X400 meter relay team of Drew Matthews, Oteba, Stigler and Kenneth McCuin, 3:16.56.

KU’s next meet will be the Bill Easton Classic, Jan. 9 in Anschutz
