Ritchie Price to rejoin KU baseball team

Former Kansas University baseball standout Ritchie Price was named an assistant coach for the KU baseball program on Thursday.

Price spent the last three seasons as the head coach of South Dakota State, where he compiled a 102-71 record.

Price will work with the KU offense, infielders, handle recruiting duties and serve as the team’s third base coach.

Price was a four-year starter at shortstop for KU from 2003-2006 for his father, current KU baseball head coach Ritch Price.

Ritchie Price will replace former Kansas assistant coach Jay Uhlman, who left to pursue other opportunities.

Did Uhlman pursue opportunities outside of baseball?

Welcome home Ritchie.

If theres anything that richie knows it's baseball he will make a great addition to Kansas Baseball. He was a stud as a player and I am sure that he will be a great recruiter for Kansas. Welcome home Ritchie.

Ritchie-Rich....there's something wrong with that combo of names leading one of our sports programs. :)
