Dominant Sooners aim to keep KU winless

By Staff     Oct 30, 2015

There are plenty of reasons no one from the KUsports.com team is picking 0-7 Kansas to beat No. 14 Oklahoma (6-1 overall, 3-1 Big 12) Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Here are just a few influencing factors. OU is better than KU in the following categories:

*- Points per game: 43.3-17.9*

*- 1st downs: 187-134*

*- Rushing yards per game: 194-118*

*- Passing yards per game: 313-238*

*- Defensive interceptions: 11-5*

*- Touchdowns: 39-16*

*- Field goals: 10/11-5/9*

*- Time of possession: 30:27-28:38*

*- Sacks: 25-17*

Does Kansas have any chance of hanging around on its Halloween homecoming day? Let us know in the comments section below.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK
——————–

**Seeing as how Saturday is Halloween, who would you consider the scariest athlete in college football this season? Or scariest coach/figure associated with college football, if you prefer.**

Last week: 5-1 | Season: 37-11

> Leonard Fournette, LSU.

Last week: 5-1 | Season: 36-12

> The NCAA Clearinghouse.

Last week: 5-1 | 35-13

> Carl Nassib, defensive lineman, Penn
> State. Scary as in scary good.

Last week: 4-2 | Season: 35-13

> That’s actually a tough question. I
> can’t think of anybody so I’ll say Bob
> Stoops. OU can’t afford another
> slip-up this season so it figures to
> come out angry against KU on Saturday,
> capable of putting an end to that game
> early.

Last week: 4-2 | Season: 35-13

> LSU running back Leonard Fournette
> would be quite the scare if he was
> running in my direction.

Last week: 4-2 | Season: 33-15

> Shawn Oakman of Baylor.

Last week: 3-3 | Season: 33-15

> I’m torn here. There are a ton of
> nasty players who are big, strong,
> fast and ferocious, but, seeing how
> none of those dudes will ever impact
> my life, I’m going to go a different
> direction and am picking a college
> football analyst — two, actually. I’m
> not sure which guy is scarier, but
> both Lou Holtz, for his “accent” and
> outlandish comments, and Lee Corso,
> for his general ignorance and those
> giant mascot heads he wears, terrify
> me every time they’re on the
> television set.

Last week: 3-3 | Season: 32-16

> I was going to go with Mark Mangino,
> but I guess he’s not associated with
> college football anymore. Instead I’ll
> go with a pair of Bears: Baylor
> defensive end Shawn Oakman or tight
> end (!) LaQuan McGowan. Although, I’m
> pretty sure, deep down, both are just
> big ol’ teddy bears.

Last week: 5-1 | Season: 30-18

> Baylor defensive end Shawn Oakman is
> the scariest player, standing at a
> mean 6-foot-9, 275 pounds with his
> dyed hair and gold face mask.

Last week: 4-2 | Season: 27-21

> I’ll go with Alabama coach Nick Saban.
> Sometimes, he has this look in his
> eyes, and I think he is evil
> incarnate.
