NORMAN, Okla. — Tasked with guarding Trae Young in KU’s 85-80 loss to Oklahoma, Devonte’ Graham probably wouldn’t have predicted the first thing asked of him at the post-game press conference would be about free throw shooting.

Then again, he didn’t see the strategy coming, either.

“Nah,” Graham said, shaking his head when asked about OU’s strategy to intentionally foul Udoka Azubuike late in the game. “I didn’t. I didn’t.”

Graham, who tabbed 11 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds in the loss, was also asked about his own performance. While he forced Young into five turnovers, the KU guard made it clear he didn’t think he performed at his best.

Most notably, Graham said he messed up a switch defending OU’s final offensive possession. The mishap led to a wide-open 3-pointer.

“I told the guys in the locker room,” Graham said, “you can put this one on me.”
