**1 – Perry Ellis:** Took eight shots from the field and totaled 22 points to go with 11 rebounds. Showcased a variety of offensive skills, using his strong handle to drive to the hoop, his patient, purposeful, creative footwork to get open shots down low and his soft touch at the line. He made 6 of 8 field goals, 10 of 12 free throws, picked up a steal and didn’t have a single turnover.
**2 – Wayne Selden:** Coach Bill Self reminded him he made just 12 three-point shots in the non-conference season, a nice way of not only challenging him but giving him a confidence-boost by letting him know he, in no uncertain terms, wants him to become a three-point threat. He certainly was, making 5 of 10 three-point shots. Selden also finished strong at the hoop in transition. Nothing new there. Scored 15 of his career-high 24 points in first 8:14 of game.
**3 – Naadir Tharpe:** Did a terrific job of getting to the paint to set up teammates for buckets and had a hot shooting night as well. Made 5 of 7 field goals, 2 of 3 three-pointers and 5 of 6 free throws for 17 points. Had three assists and just one turnover.
**4 – Conner Frankamp:** Ran the team at the end of the first half after Naadir Tharpe picked up his third foul and did so with the poise of a veteran. He looked active on defense — a little too active at times (four fouls) — picked up two big defensive rebounds and hit 2 of 3 shots, 1 of 2 three-pointers. Self told him before the game that he thought this would be a good game for him to play.
**5 – Jamari Traylor:** Quick, strong, explosive and full of hustle and muscle, Traylor used all of that to contribute 5 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks and a steal to more than compensate for 3 turnovers.
**6 – Joel Embiid:** Played with goggles because of a scratched left eye that resulted in swelling around the eye. Took him a while to get used to playing with impaired vision, but still managed to produce 6 points, 6 rebounds and big blocked shot in the second half.
**7 – Andrew Wiggins:** Played like a freshman, which, by the way, he is. Took a couple of jumpers early on the clock that anybody could get at any time. With KU trying to protect a late lead, Wiggins took off on a drive with 20 seconds left on shot clock, not a good decision that resulted in his team losing the ball on a held ball. After getting a steal at the other end, he took off and lost the ball out of bounds when there was no reason to do anything but secure the ball. Made 2 of 9 shots and finished with 9 points and 6 rebounds.
**8 – Frank Mason:** Deuces were wild: 2 points, 2 assists, 2 turnovers, 2 fouls in 8 minutes.
**9 – Tarik Black:** Missed a shot at point-blank range and produced 1 rebound, 1 turnover and 3 fouls in 5 minutes.
**10 – Justin Wesley:** Trillion club entry with 1 minute and the rest zeroes.
**11 -Brannen Greene:** Had an assist and a foul in 5 minutes.
**12 – Andrew White:** Made cameo appearance.
