KU running backs perform best against Oklahoma

By Staff     Oct 20, 2012

**1. James Sims:** Surpassing the 100-yard mark for the third week in a row, Sims rushed for 102 yards and had 56 receiving yards. Didn’t let the scoreboard change how hard he ran.

**2. Tony Pierson:** After missing seven quarters with an elbow injury, he averaged 4.8 yards on 14 carries.

**3. Duane Zlatnik:** Always blows open holes for the running backs.

**4. Josh Ford:** Rocked punt returner Justin Brown so hard he fumbled.

**5. Victor Simmons:** Recovered the fumble that Ford forced, giving Kansas the ball at the Oklahoma 11.

**6. Tanner Hawkinson:** Other than the holding penalty, had a solid game.

**7. Ben Goodman:** Defensive end had a sack, his first of the year, which ties him for the team lead with five others.

**8. Ron Doherty:** Averaged 46.3 on seven punts and put three kicks inside the 20.

**9. Brandon Bourbon:** Caught three passes out of the backfield for 21 yards. Might he play more next season if he switched to safety or linebacker? Maybe.

**10. Dylan Admire:** Rushed into action when Trevor Marrongelli missed a few plays with a minor injury, Admire made accurate shotgun snaps and blocked well.
