Jackson’s highlight shines brightest

_After each KU basketball game this season, this is where you can find out the hardwood equivalent of The Nielsen Ratings from Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan. He’ll rate the Jayhawk **scholarship players’ individual performances**, telling you who was worth tuning in to watch. If you agree or maybe even differ, make sure to comment and tell Tom how you really feel. (**Scoring**: Each week, the top player in the ratings will be awarded 10 points. Second best gets nine points. Third best gets eight points, and so on and so on. The season standings are at the bottom)_**1. Darnell Jackson**: Scored 20 points in 24 minutes and made 9 of 12 shots. Busted a spin dribble and mixed in three dunks.**2. Russell Robinson**: Had eight steals and five assists and generally made life miserable for Yale’s ballhandlers.**3. Mario Chalmers**: Had 11 points, five assists and three steals and said in the post-game press conference that Robinson deserves the credit for all the steals he gets. Chalmers is maturing.**4. Tyrel Reed**: Best post-ankle injury performance of the season. Made all three field goal attempts, two from three-point range. Did not turn the ball over in 10 minutes.**5. Cole Aldrich**: Had five points and seven rebounds in 12 minutes.**6. Sherron Collins**: Shot well, drove hard, made some nice passes, but gets down-graded for passing too fancy, a factor in his four turnovers in 16 minutes.**7. Brandon Rush**: Didn’t have his shooting touch and didn’t go after rebounds as hard as he usually does.**8. Darrell Arthur**: Couldn’t get his shots to fall but blocked three shots and made 5 of 7 free throws.**9. Rod Stewart**: Played well, other than missing both free throw attempts. **10. Sasha Kaun**: Two rebounds in 16 minutes doesn’t cut it.**11. Jeremy Case**: Had two assists in five minutes, but missed both shot attempts. **The Keegan Ratings: Season Standings (based on average points)** **1.** Darnell Jackson **7.85** (102 points, 13 games) **2.** Mario Chalmers **7.23** (94 points, 13 games) **3.** Russell Robinson **6.46** (84 points, 13 games) **4.** Darrell Arthur **6.15** (80 point, 13 games) **5.** Brandon Rush **6.09** (67 points, 11 games) **6.** Sherron Collins **5.57** (39 points, 7 games) **7.** Sasha Kaun **5.08** (66 points, 13 games) **8.** Rod Stewart **4.62** (60 points, 13 games) **9.** Cole Aldrich **4.23** (55 points, 13 games) **10.** Tyrel Reed **4.22** (38 points, 9 games) **11.** Jeremy Case **2.18** (24 points, 11 games)
