New KU big man Cam Martin recently joined us to break down his game and his journey to KU.

It’s been a crazy, busy offseason for the Kansas men’s basketball program already, with players coming and going and another full round of recruiting taking center stage.

And that’s to say nothing of KU getting a new athletic director or Bill Self’s new contract.

Because it’s been so much, we can’t possibly get to all of it in our tight, compact Basketball Friends episodes. So we’re going to spread it out a little bit and give several of the key moves their own episode.

First up: We recently were joined by one of the newest additions to KU’s 2021-22 roster: Forward “Big Cam” Martin.

Martin was a three-time All-American playing for former Jayhawk Jeff Boschee at Missouri Southern State.

In this episode, he talks about his journey from Division II to one of the premier basketball programs in the country, what KU fans should expect to see from him, and why it might not be a good idea for teams to play him one-on-one.
