Kansas guard Corbin Allen has entered the transfer portal, he confirmed to the Journal-World on Friday morning.

CBS Sports first reported the news. Allen leaves after one season with the Jayhawks, during which he redshirted. A 6-foot-5, 175-pound guard from Kansas City, Missouri, he was a two-time winner of the DiRenna Award for the top player in the area.

Allen played at Oak Park High School under former KU star Sherron Collins and became his school’s all-time leading scorer, winning a state title as a senior. He was originally going to attend San Diego before withdrawing from his commitment and joining the Jayhawks instead last spring.

He never appeared in an official game in the crimson and blue and will see his first collegiate action elsewhere as a redshirt freshman.

Allen’s reported departure follows those of Flory Bidunga (Louisville), Samis Calderon (Butler), Jamari McDowell (Wake Forest), Bryson Tiller (Missouri) and Elmarko Jackson (Georgetown). The status of center Paul Mbiya is still in limbo as his management has told the Journal-World that he wants to return to KU but has not reached a final agreement to do so.

Kohl Rosario, a rising sophomore wing, is the only player confirmed to remain on the Jayhawks’ roster for next season. They have freshmen Davion Adkins, Luke Barnett, Taylen Kinney and Trent Perry coming in also added Utah transfer Keanu Dawes.
