By J-W Staff Reports     May 16, 2017

Severe weather resulted in the cancellation of Kansas’ nonconference baseball game against Creighton in Omaha scheduled for Tuesday. The game will not be made up.

Kansas (29-23 overall, 11-10 in the Big 12) resumes its schedule Thursday in Lubbock, Texas, in the opener of a three-game series against Texas Tech (39-13, 13-8). KU enters the series tied with Baylor and West Virginia for fourth place in the Big 12.

The Big 12 double-elimination tournament opens Wednesday, May 24, in Oklahoma City. The top eight teams in the conference earn spots. Kansas will compete in it for the first time since 2014.
