Khmelnitckaia won a No. 4 singles.

Also winning singles matches for the Jayhawks were Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum at No. 2, Janet Koch at No. 3, Nina Khmelnitckaia at No. 4, Maria Toran Ribes at No. 5 and Tatiana Nikolaeva at No. 6. KU also won the doubles point.

“The last four matches we have started to compete as a full team in singles and doubles,” KU coach Todd Chapman said. “We are learning that when you compete at a high level, you don’t have to play your best tennis to put yourself in positions to be successful.”

The Jayhawks will play host to West Virginia on Friday and Iowa State on Sunday.
