Toran Ribes leads KU tennis in Alabama

? Freshman Maria Toran Ribes led the way for the Kansas tennis team with a 3-0 record on the first day of the 29th Roberta Alison Fall Classic Friday.

Toran Ribes will face West Alabama’s Amina Mukhametshina Saturday in the championship of the Becca Braum singles draw.

“We have made a lot of strides this fall and will only continue to see unprecedented improvement as we learn to welcome and relish adversity,” assistant coach Caroline Lilley said. “Saturday is another great opportunity to play aggressive tennis while competing with passion and fight.”
