KU soccer wins in home finale

Freshman Katie McClure’s goal with less than five minutes left in regulation gave No. 25 Kansas a 1-0 win over Iowa State at Rock Chalk Park Friday night. The win secured a second place finish in the Big 12 for the Jayhawks, their highest since 2004.

The Jayhawks ended the match with a season high 28 shots and collected their fourth shut out of the season.

Kansas heads into the Big 12 tournament with a regular season record of 10-4-4, and a 5-1-2 record in Big 12 play, playing TCU in the first round at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Swope Soccer Village.
