Future Kansas University forward Carlton Bragg scored 23 points in Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph’s 76-72 loss to Oak Hill Academy on Monday at the Spaulding Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The 6-foot-9, 225-pounder, who is ranked No. 14 nationally by Rivals.com, also had six rebounds and six assists.

“I love it, it gets us better for other people. A better chance for the state championship also with this competition,” Bragg told cleveland.com.

Of Bragg’s performance, ESPN Insider’s Reggie Rankin wrote: “His length and athleticism are major league and factor in he is an excellent passer with a smooth jumper with range beyond the arc. Bragg is a good rebounder as well. All the tools are in the tool belt for this power forward that has the potential to share time at small forward with continued ball skill development. When Bragg is full attack mode he has the potential to stuff the stat sheet. The Kansas Jayhawks will definitely benefit from the upside of Bragg.”
