Port Charlotte, Fla. ? Kansas University hit into two double plays in the first four innings and stranded seven runners in a 5-0 baseball loss to North Dakota State on Friday in the Snowbird Classic.
It was Kansas’ first shutout at a neutral site since a 1-0 loss to Notre Dame in 2012.
“We didn’t take advantage of our opportunities to score, and it came back to haunt us when their pitcher settled in for the last few innings,” KU coach Ritch Price said.
Kansas (3-6) will face Northeastern at 9:30 this morning.
