Port Charlotte, Fla. ? Ben Krauth allowed one earned run in six innings, and Kansas University’s baseball team defeated Northeastern, 6-4, on Saturday.
Krauth (1-2) struck out five and yielded eight hits as the Jayhawks improved to 4-6.
“When you get shut out, you have to find a way to bounce back,” said KU coach Ritch Price, whose team was blanked, 5-0, by North Dakota State on Friday. “If you don’t, it can turn into something where you do not score for 12 innings, 13 innings or more, and you can get stuck in a rut.”
KU will conclude play in the Snowbird Classic against Boston College at 10:30 a.m. today.
