KU softball 1-1 in Florida

? Kansas University’s softball team suffered its first loss of the season, 7-1 against Florida, then defeated Mercer, 2-0, on Saturday in the Aquafina Invitational.

Alicia Pille pitched a three-hitter against Mercer to raise her record to 7-0.

“I thought Pille showed a huge amount of toughness tonight,” KU coach Megan Smith said.

The Jayhawks (13-1) will face Illinois State at 8 a.m. today.
