Fayetteville, Ark. ? Kansas University junior Hannah Richardson won her second straight 1,500-meter race, and Michael Stigler won the 110 hurdles to highlight KU’s Saturday showing at the John McDonnell Track and Field Invitational.
Richardson won in 4:18.43, the sixth-fastest time in KU history, and Stigler won the 110 hurdles crown in 13.78 seconds.
“We had a really good meet this weekend,” KU coach Stanley Redwine said. “We had a lot of people record personal bests or season bests and that’s exciting to see. There were a lot of really strong performances today and I felt everyone competed well.”
KU’s other victory Saturday came from the men’s 4X400-meter relay team of Kenneth McCuin, Jamie Wilson, Tre Daniels and Stigler in 3:08.55.
KU will host the Kansas Relays April 15-18.
