? Kansas University junior Yupaporn Kawinpakorn tied for first, and Kansas University’s women’s golf team placed seventh at the SMU/DAC Invitational on Saturday.

Kawinpakorn shot 3-under 69 Saturday and 1-under 215 for three rounds to tie Purdue’s August Kim.

Kawinpakorn bogeyed the second playoff hole, while Kim shot par to claim medalist honors.

“Mook (Kawinpakorn) played some really solid golf, especially in the second and third rounds,” Kansas coach Erin O’Neil said. “Her short game and mental game were particularly strong. The experience she gained from the playoff will help prepare her for the competition we will face at conference and NCAA’s.”

KU’s other scores: Pornvipa Sakee, tied for 39th, 230; Minami Levonowich, tied for 42nd, 232; Gabrielle DiMarco, 72nd, 244; and Michelle Woods, 77th, 248.
