In Columbia, South Carolina, Free State High graduate Tim Lewis went 1-for-4 as Maryland edged Old Dominion, 4-3.

In Nashville, Tennessee, Oregon routed Clemson, 18-1, but Lawrence High product Garrett Cleavinger did not pitch.

Similarly, Free State’s Colin Toalson did not pitch in Kansas University’s 10-6 victory over Kentucky in Louisville, Kentucky.

The only city product to lose an NCAA game Friday was Shane Willoughby, an LHS grad who went 0-for-4 in Youngstown State’s 10-2 loss to Indiana.
