Kansas University basketball recruiting.

Kansas University is one of six finalists for Tyler Dorsey, a 6-foot-4 senior shooting guard from Maranatha High School in Pasadena, California.

Dorsey, who will attend the Oct. 10 Late Night in the Phog, has a list of KU, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon and UNLV.

Rivals.com’s No. 19-ranked player will visit Oregon on Sept. 5, Colorado on Sept. 19 and Arizona State on Oct. 17. He also will set up a visit to Cal and visit UNLV unofficially, according to Dinos Trigonis, AAU coach of Dorsey with Belmont Shore AAU.

Dorsey has cut St. John’s, Georgetown, Louisville and UConn.

He had originally orally committed to Arizona but reopened his recruitment on June 14.

Also in recruiting, Jalen Brunson, a 6-1 senior point guard from Stevenson High in Lincolnshire, Illinois, is on an official visit to Illinois this weekend. Rivals.com’s No 15-rated player, who once had KU on his list, has also set up trips to Michigan State, Purdue, Temple and Villanova. Some analysts believe he may commit to Illinois following the weekend visit.
