Omaha, Neb. ? Kansas University freshman Chelsie Miller won two events, leading KU’s swim team to a 137-98 victory over Nebraska-Omaha on Thursday night.
The Houston native placed first in the 100-yard butterfly (59.64) and in the 200-yard individual medley (2:09.17), helping the Jayhawks take second dual victory of the year.
Junior Morgan Sharp also picked up a pair of first-place finishes for Kansas (2-1), which won 10 of the 13 events, capturing the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.02) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:17.68).
Senior Christy Cash and freshman Meredith Brownell took first place in the three-meter (264.97) and one-meter (249.30) diving events, respectively.
Junior Alison Moffit placed first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.15), and sophomores Alina Vats and Deanna Marks won the 100-yard freestyle (52.80) and the 100-yard backstroke (58.94).
The Jayhawks will return home Nov. 2-3, to host a double dual meet with TCU and North Dakota at Robinson Natatorium. Action will start at 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
