Kansas women’s basketball assistant Karen Lange, who has spent the last 13 seasons on KU coach Bonnie Henrickson’s staff, has resigned her position to become the new coach at Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe.

Lange has spent the last six seasons as an assistant at KU. She originally joined Henrickson’s staff at Virginia Tech in 1997.

“I would like to thank Karen for all of her hard work and loyalty to the Kansas women’s basketball program,” Henrickson said in a release. “She has an amazing work ethic and a true passion for both the game of basketball and working with young people.”

Lange replaces former MNU coach Bill Olin, who retired after spending 11 years at the school.
