KU has offered a scholarship to Nino Jackson, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound junior shooting guard from Ardmore (Okla.) High, Jackson tells Rivals.com.
Jackson, the No. 38-ranked player in the Class of 2012, has told the Journal-World and various recruiting services he’s had a dream of becoming a Jayhawk for some time now.
Jackson told Rivals.com on Monday he will talk to his mom about the offer. He’s also heard from North Carolina, Baylor, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, Indiana, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and others.
“There is not a more athletic guard in the class of 2012,” said Rivals.com analyst Eric Bossi. “There may not be a more athletic guy in any class. The explosiveness allows for jaw-dropping plays — as evidenced by his ferocious one hand from the right side and two-handed tip from the left side facials over the same guy — but he’s got some craftiness to him.”
