Kansas baseball coach Ritch Price announced the addition of eight players who will compete for the Jayhawks in 2011: Outfielder Jordan Brown (Blue Springs, Mo.), outfielder/pitcher Mark Brown (Detroit), infielder/catcher Ka’iana Eldredge (Honolulu), outfielder Alex Harris (Murphy, Texas), catcher Tom Hougland (Parker, Colo.), infielder/pitcher Conner Murray (Overland Park), infielder Brad Salgado (Temecula, Calif.), and pitcher Tyler Smith (Cypress, Texas).
