Marist rode its 16-game winning streak straight into the Top 25 for the first time in school history.

The Red Foxes, who came in at No. 25, are the first team from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to be ranked since La Salle made the final poll of the 1989 season.

Connecticut remained the top choice in The Associated Press women’s basketball poll Monday with 39 of the 50 first-place votes.
