Kansas City, Kan. ? The Kansas City T-Bones announced Tuesday the signing of former Kansas University catcher Dylan Parzyk.
Parzyk completed his collegiate career Sunday when the Jayhawks concluded their 2007 season with a loss to Nebraska. He played two seasons for KU after transferring from Palomar Junior College in San Marcos, Calif.
Parzyk will fill the roster spot vacated by Jeremy McIntyre, who separated his shoulder in a home-plate collision Monday night.
“With the injury … we were looking for a guy to come in on short notice,” said T-Bones manager Andy McCauley. “We were lucky that he just finished up at KU and we’re hoping he’ll be with the club the rest of the year.”
