? Colorado swept Kansas University, 30-25, 30-27, 30-23, in Big 12 volleyball on Saturday at Coors Events Center.

The Buffaloes improved to 18-10 overall and 13-7 in the Big 12, while KU dropped to16-15 overall and 6-14 in the league.

“Colorado played really well. We ran into a hot team here on their Senior Day,” KU coach Ray Bechard said. “We battled hard but gave up a couple of runs in each game which cost us.”

Sophomore hitter Sarah Rome had 10 kills. It marked the fifth straight match she’s had double-digit kill totals. He also led KU with 12 digs.

Kylie Thomas collected nine kills, while defensive specialist Jennifer Kraft had 11 digs. CU’s Sonja Russell netted a match-high 16 kills.

The match marked the final match for senior Molly LaMere, who finished her career second all-time on the school’s career assist list. She had 37 assists versus Colorado, finishing her career with 4,108 assists, 101 behind career leader Julie Woodruff.
