Kansas University juniors Rodrigo Echagaray and Quentin Blakeney have been named Big 12 Conference singles champions at the Nos. 2 and 3 slots respectively.
Echagaray, who was a first-team pick at No. 2 singles last year, went 5-3 in league play this season. Blakeney was unbeaten in eight matches at No. 3 singles.
KU’s Pete Stroer, Alex Barragan and Andrew Metzler were runners-up at Nos. 4, 5 and 6 respectively. Metzler teamed with Eleazar Magallan to finish as runner-up in No. 3 doubles.
