Kansas track team scores firsts at KSU

Manhattan Kansas University’s Scott Russell, Eric Patterson and Jeremy Hull earned gold medals at the Kansas State Open track meet on Friday.

Russell won the weight throw with a toss of 73-51/2, Patterson captured the 60 hurdles in 8.10 and Hull won the pole vault at 16-03/4.

Second places went to Pete Prince in the 3,000 (8:50.68) and Armond Enclarde in the long jump (21-113/4).

Anson Jackson was third in the 60 hurdles (8.29) and Dorian Jordan fourth in the 400 (51.38).
