KU rips Rams, 15-3

? Kansas University banged 14 hits, including five for extra-bases, in a 15-3 romp of Colorado State Sunday to cap a successful run at the Diamond Invitational softball tournament.

The Jayhawks (4-1) erupted for 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning and were never threatened.

KU third baseman Megan Urquhart went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs. KU left fielder Christi Musser went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs.

Other Jayhawks with two hits were Erin Garvey, Courtney Wright, Amy Hulse and Christi Musser.

Sophomore Kirsten Milhoan was the winning pitcher, allowing four hits and striking out five in five innings.

Next for KU is the Las Vegas Invitational on Feb. 16-18.
