KU Med to offer seniors classes on computers

Kansas University Medical Center will offer seniors free computer classes on Tuesday mornings at its Kansas City, Kan., campus.

“Computer Basics,” is for operating personal computers. The class will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 8, Feb. 5, March 5 or April 2.

“Surfin’ the Net” provides an introduction to the Internet. The class will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 15, Feb. 12, March 12 or April 9.

“You Have Mail” will help participants sign up and use an e-mail account. The class will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 22, Feb. 19, March 19 or April 16.

“Surfin’ the Net II” teaches about search engines. The class will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 29, Feb. 26, March 26 or April 23.
