Kansas basketball coach Roy Williams has hit the recruiting road.
Williams, who is expected in the home of Minneapolis shooting guard Alan Anderson tonight, visited with California shooting guard Josh Childress and several of Childress’ family members over the weekend in Lakewood, Calif. Childress, who has already made an unofficial visit to KU, did not commit to KU during the in-home visit.
“As it gets closer to making the decision it gets harder and harder,” Childress told Arizona Cat Tracks, indicating KU, Arizona, Stanford and UCLA remain on his list. “They all have great programs.”
Stanford coach Mike Montgomery will visit Childress’ home on Friday. Arizona’s Lute Olson will visit on Sept. 21.
Childress said he would like to go to the same school as fellow blue-chippers Aaron Miles (6-0, Portland) and Jamal Sampson (6-10, Santa Ana, Calif.). Childress and Sampson will visit KU together for Late Night With Roy Williams on Oct. 13.
