KU nips Cal State Fullerton

? Kansas University rebounded from Friday’s loss to Cal Irvine with a 3-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton Sunday in the UCI Invitational.

Midfielders Maggie Mason and Jennifer Ray and forward Lindsey Horner scored for KU. Midfielder Melanie Schroeder, forward Natalie Hoogveld and forward Cleen Colvin provided the assists.

Goalkeeper Layla Young made six saves.

KU (3-3) has played all six of its games on the road. The Jayhawks will play host to the KU Credit Union Jayhawk Soccer Classic Sept. 15-17. Other teams in the field are Ole Miss and Southwest Missouri State.
