STILLWATER, OKLA. ? Kansas University’s men’s cross country team placed fifth and the women’s team seventh at the Oklahoma State jamboree Saturday.
Junior Brent Behrens led KU’s men, placing 22nd in 25:31. Charlie Gruber notched 34th in 25:45. In all, 20 men’s teams competed.
Freshman Laura Lavoie led KU’s women, placing 25th in 19:02. Frosh Lauren Brownrigg was 34th in 19:21. In all, 16 women’s teams competed.
“As a team we ran smart, and I like to see that out of our runners,” KU coach Stanley Redwine said.
