New football coach Lance Leipold was introduced as the 41st head coach in program history on Monday at the Indoor Practice Facility.

Leipold comes to KU after six seasons at the helm at Buffalo. Over the last three seasons guiding the Bulls, Leipold has guided the team to 24 wins and three consecutive bowl berths.

In addition, Leipold is the fastest coach in NCAA history to reach 100 career wins. He won six national titles while serving as head coach for Wisconsin-Whitewater at the Division III level.

Leipold had a five-minute speech before answering questions from the local media for about 30 minutes. Because it was a live stream, the video starts at the 40-minute mark.
