Kansas University basketball player Krysten Boogaard will be out for at least two weeks after being diagnosed with a stress reaction in her left thigh bone.

A 6-foot-5 sophomore, Boogaard missed KU's 75-56 win over Saint Louis on Sunday after the injury was discovered late last week.

She will miss the Jayhawks’ next game on Sunday against New Orleans and could also sit out the Dec. 4 game against San Jose State.

Boogaard, who averaged 8.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in the first two games, will be re-evaluated a week from Wednesday. Nicollette Smith, a 6-2 sophomore, replaced her in the starting lineup at Saint Louis.
