Kansas basketball coach Bill Self thought his No. 3 Jayhawks showed some good signs in their season-opening win over Michigan State, but didn’t mind bringing up the “not so good” parts of the game either.
Self said Thursday, before KU’s home opener versus Tarleton State, he thought the team executed better than he expected offensively — especially without Jalen Wilson.
But Self thought “there’s a ton of things” the team has to do better defensively, too.
Self also discussed KU’s 2022 recruiting class, the play of this year’s freshmen, what he saw from David McCormack against Michigan State, and much more.
