Kansas junior Ochai Agbaji on his strong start to 2020-21 campaign

After the opening week of the collegiate basketball season, Kansas is ready for what is normally the first real test any other year.

KU (1-1) will face Kentucky in the Champions Classic at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Wildcats are coming off a 76-64 loss to Richmond on Sunday, and are also 1-1 entering this year’s battle of two blue-blood basketball programs.

The Jayhawks dropped the season opener to top-ranked Gonzaga on Thanksgiving Day. They then bounced back with a 94-72 win over Saint Joseph’s the very next day. KU will have three games this week, including two contests in Allen Fieldhouse.

Kansas coach Bill Self and junior Ochai Agbaji spoke to the media via zoom on Monday morning before the busy week got underway.
