After his Jayhawks held Oklahoma State to 50 points and 28.1% shooting in a Kansas road win Monday night, head coach Bill Self said he liked what he saw out of KU’s defense — when Udoka Azubuike was on the court.
“When he went out of the game in the first half we had nothing protecting the lane or the rim, so that’s when they came back and made a nice run,” Self said.
“In the second half, up until the last five minutes, we played to scouting report, our switches were good. We didn’t do anything to pressure them, we didn’t turn them over, but for the most part we were really positionally in the right spots.”
