Kansas coach Bill Self spoke to reporters Wednesday afternoon at the Sprint Center ahead of the Big 12 tournament.
KU is the No. 3 seed for the third time with the others being in 1999 and 2004. The Jayhawks won in 1999 behind Most Outstanding Player Jeff Boshee. In 2004, Kansas lost to Texas in the Big 12 semifinal.
Kansas faces Texas at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the Big 12 tournament.
