Kansas coach Bill Self spoke to reporters Thursday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse.

Beginning in 1983-84 under then-head coach Larry Brown, KU has won 35 consecutive regular-season home finales. KU is vying to post its 20th undefeated season in Allen Fieldhouse and its first since going 16-0 in 2015-16.

“I look at our freshmen as no longer freshmen,” Self said. “They’ve gone through a lot so I don’t see them as freshmen now but they’re still going through things that are firsts for them.”

Kansas plays host to Baylor at 1 p.m. Saturday.
