Beaty discusses start of fall camp, dismissing LaQuvionte Gonzalez

Kansas football coach David Beaty met with the media Tuesday after the first two days of the team’s fall camp in preparation for the 2017 season.

Beaty discussed some of the players who stood out, which included punter Cole Moos, and last weekend’s dismissal of receiver LaQuvionte Gonzalez. In addition, Beaty talked about offensive lineman Charles Baldwin, a transfer from Alabama who was “really having to toe the line when it comes to standards. He’s come a long way.”

On the field, Beaty is impressed with his team’s attention to detail in the first few practices.

“Today was a really good start,” Beaty said. “By far, the best start we’ve had in a long time.”
